Douglas R. Bell is a versatile musician specializing in music education, composition, arranging, and sheet music publishing.
Doug’s music experience began with studying the trumpet and classical piano, competing in jazz ensembles and marching band championships, and later gaining experience playing the guitar professionally in rock and jazz settings. Some of his primary influences include guitarists Joe Pass, Ted Greene, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, and John McLaughlin, resulting in a playing style that grooves at the smoggy intersection of jazz and rock.
Doug is particularly passionate about electronic and video game music and created the sonically cutting edge Vintage Modern Remixes project, a popular YouTube channel with over 1,000 subscribers. He also performs regularly with his critically-acclaimed rock cover band.
