Advanced Chord Inversions (Dominant 7th)

In order to play more advanced chord melody on guitar, you will need to memorize a set of chord shapes that use the first four strings of the guitar.

This first set features dominant 7 chords, which may be the most common type of seventh chord.

It is important to note that these voicings are consistently balanced with always including only a 1, 3, 5, and 7 scale degrees with no doubled notes.

These chord shapes exclude the bass strings of the guitar, though bass notes can be added when used in an arrangement.
