These exercises will give you more experience crossing from one string to another. They all primarily use the lower strings of the guitar, closely mirroring the bass guitar player’s part.
The first song features a position change, where you shift your hand up two frets to a higher neck position. While there are many ways this musical figure could be played, in this arrangement you will be playing the first note (third fret) with your index/pointer finger, and then sliding this finger up two frets to complete the rest of the line. The remainder of the notes will fit within this new position.

The third song introduces a two-note chord. This is actually a movable chord shape commonly known as the power chord or a fifth chord.
Notice that in these song examples, this same chord shape/pattern slides up and down the neck. When sliding this shape up or down the neck, it is easiest to think of the fret number or note that your index finger is touching.
